I'm playing at a recital in Italy on Friday and have no worries in playing this new set of pipes, even with just a couple of days to get the 'right feel'. I want to spend a bit more time getting the best out of my reed combination so that I can maximise the whole 'wall of sound' but I've instantly been impressed with the mellowness of the drone tone - no brash harmonics here...
